Hiding the Wavy feature
Last updated August 5, 2026
Objective
This guide explains how to use the HideWavy feature in Recur. While the Wavy assistant panel is open by default to help answer questions, you can minimize it permanently so that it stays out of your way as you navigate between different administrative tools.
Key Steps
Step 1: Locate the Options Menu
Look at the large Wavy text box on the right side of your screen.
In the top-right corner of that specific panel, locate the three dots (ellipsis) icon.
Step 2: Activate HideWavy
Click the three dots to open the options dropdown menu.
Select HideWavy from the list.
The large text box will immediately slide away, clearing your workspace.
Step 3: Enjoy Permanent Minimization
Once clicked, the system saves this preference to your account profile.
Wavy will now stay closed automatically whenever you:
Refresh your browser tab.
Navigate to a different tool (like the Website Builder).
Log out and log back into Recur in the future.
Step 4: Accessing Wavy When Needed
If you ever need to ask a question later, you do not need to hunt through your settings to bring the assistant back.
Simply look at the bottom right-hand corner of your screen and click the small Message/Chat Icon. Wavy will open instantly.
Cautionary Notes
Account-Specific: This setting is tied to your specific user profile. If you have multiple team members managing your association's Recur account, each user will need to select "HideWavy" on their own screen if they want the panel minimized.
Tips for Efficiency
Uncluttered Workspace: Hide Wavy immediately during onboarding if you prefer a clean, wide screen while managing large data tables or designing web layouts.
Instant Support: Even when hidden, help is always one click away via the chat bubble, so you don't lose access to real-time assistance.
