Recur Sites overview
Last updated August 5, 2026
Objective
Recur Sites is an integrated, code-free website builder that allows you to design, manage, and publish your association’s website directly within the Recur platform. It connects your content directly with your existing member data, events, and forms.
How to Access Recur Sites
From the Recur homepage, click the 9 dots (Apps menu) in the top-right corner.
Ensure you are on the Apps tab.
Click the red Sites icon to launch the builder dashboard.
Key Areas & Navigation
1. Dashboard & Analytics
When you open Sites, the main dashboard provides an instant high-level overview of your web presence:
Pages Overview: Displays total page counts, published pages, recent changes, and active drafts.
Activity & Keywords: Tracks recent edits made by your team and primary keywords.
Site Analytics: Monitors page views, unique visitors, 30-day session totals, bounce rates, and top-performing pages.
2. Pages
Managed via the left navigation panel:
All Pages: View, edit, or check the status of public pages, drafts, and Member Pages (pages restricted exclusively to your member portal).
Templates: Avoid starting from scratch by clicking New from Template. Select pre-built layouts for Home, About, Team History, or Event pages and populate them with your content.
3. Blog Management
Posts: Manage all articles with options to Create Manually or Create with AI. The AI builder generates content based on target audience, tone, length, and specified keywords.
Categories & Authors: Organize posts into a category hierarchy and manage author profiles or misspellings.
4. Tools & Media
Widgets: Create dynamic content blocks—such as Events, Memberships, Calendars, Job Boards, or Contact Forms—that pull live data directly from Recur.
Media Library: Store and manage images and downloadable files.
Themes: Set global fonts and colors, browse themes, or import/export design frameworks to ensure site-wide branding consistency.
Contact Submissions: Review incoming inquiries submitted through your site's "Contact Us" forms.
5. Settings & Configurations
Header & Footer Navigation: Customize logo placement (e.g., center alignment), top navigation bars, call-to-action buttons, social links, and quick-link footers.
Social Profiles: Connect social accounts to populate header and footer icons automatically.
SEO Preferences: Configure AI-driven search engine parameters that automatically generate meta descriptions and search tags.
Integrations (Google Drive & Webhooks): Embed live Google Drive document directories or configure webhooks to automatically capture contacts from external sources.
General Settings & Site Import: Manage domains/subdomains, cookie consent banners, Google Analytics, branding, or import an existing external website into Recur Sites.
Cautionary Notes
Draft vs. Published: Pages saved as "Drafts" will not be visible to site visitors until explicitly published.
SEO Setup: While the AI SEO engine automatically generates search tags, always review auto-generated meta descriptions to ensure they match your specific branding guidelines.
Tips for Efficiency
Use Widgets for Dynamic Content: Instead of updating event lists manually, embed an Events Widget so your website updates automatically whenever a new event is created in Recur.
Member Pages: Assign pages to "Member Page" status to restrict premium content or career resources strictly behind member portal logins.
