Surveys overview
Last updated August 3, 2026
Objective
The Surveys app in Recur provides a dedicated space to build, manage, and deploy feedback forms and voting ballots for your association. Whether gathering post-event feedback or hosting recurring board elections, this module centralizes survey management without requiring you to build forms from scratch every time.
Accessing the Surveys App
From your Recur dashboard, click the 9 dots (Apps menu) in the top-right corner.
Confirm you are on the Apps tab.
Scroll down and select the Surveys icon to open the survey dashboard.
Main Dashboard Overview & Features
1. Survey & Template Filtering
All Surveys: Displays all standalone forms created across your organization.
Templates: Stores reusable survey frameworks.
Use Case: Keep a pre-built template for Board Voting or Event Feedback so you can quickly launch new instances without recreating questions.
2. Left-Hand Navigation Panel
Collapse/Expand Menu: Click the Recur Surveys heading at the top left to minimize or expand your sidebar navigation.
Quick-Edit Dropdowns: Click directly on the Surveys or Templates dropdown links in the sidebar to view a list of all forms. Click any item in the dropdown to jump straight into editing.
3. Creation Shortcuts
New Survey: Click the Create New Survey button in the top-right corner of the dashboard to start a fresh survey.
New Template: Click New Template in the top-right corner to build a reusable layout.
4. Display Preferences (Dark Mode)
Located in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Toggle between Dark Mode and Light Mode to suit your viewing preference.
Cautionary Notes
Templates vs. Surveys: Edits made inside the Templates tab update the master layout. If you need to send an active survey out to members, create a New Survey from that template to keep past response data separate.
Tips for Efficiency
Sidebar Shortcuts: Instead of returning to the main dashboard every time, use the left sidebar dropdowns to hop between multiple survey drafts faster.
