Adding CE credits to events

Last updated August 5, 2026

Objective

Adding Continuing Education (CE) credits to an event in Recur allows association members to earn and track compliance credits automatically when attending your event.

Step-by-Step Guide: Enabling CE Credits on an Event

Step 1: Access Event Configuration

  1. Create a new event or open an existing event draft in Recur.

  2. Navigate to Step 3: Registration and RSVP in the event setup wizard.

Step 2: Enable & Allocate Credits

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Registration and RSVP panel to locate the Enable CE Credits option.

  2. Toggle the Enable CE Credits switch to ON.

  3. Enter the total number of Allocated CE Credits members earn by attending (e.g., 4 or 4.5).

  4. Click Save & Publish (or save draft) to apply the changes.

Member Tracking & Auto-Deposit

  • Scheduled Status: Once an event with CE credits is published, members who register will see these listed as Scheduled CE Credits inside their Member Portal (under Events & Learning > CE Credits).

  • Automatic Credit Allocation: After the member attends the event and their check-in is recorded, Recur automatically deposits the earned CE credits directly into their official transcript without manual administrative data entry.

Cautionary Notes

  • Event Check-in Dependency: CE credits transition from "Scheduled" to "Earned" only after verified event attendance or check-in. Ensure staff or volunteers process event attendance on the day of the event.
