Using the reports section
Last updated August 4, 2026
Objective
The Reports section in Recur provides specialized data visualizations and ledgers to help association leaders monitor member engagement, troubleshoot communication issues, and analyze sales performance. This centralized dashboard allows you to toggle between contact-based health metrics and revenue-based results.
Key Steps
Step 1: Access and Navigate Reports
From the Recur dashboard, go to Tools > Reports.
Switching Reports: Use the teal-colored button in the top left-hand corner to open the report selector.
Categories: Reports are primarily divided into two categories: Contacts and Sales.
Step 2: Analyze Contact Health Reports
These reports help you identify "dead zones" in your communication and understand member value:
Do Not Send (Text/Email): View lists of contacts who are no longer receiving messages. The report includes the Stop Date and the Reason (e.g., "Unsubscribed" or "Invalid Number").
Not Yet Replied: Identifies members who have not responded to specific invitations, including their phone numbers for quick follow-up.
Member Lifetime Value: A high-level report showing the total financial contribution each member has brought to the association.
Hardbounce Email List: Lists emails that are non-existent or permanently failing, allowing you to clean your database.
Engagement Scores: Review the Recur Score (overall engagement) and Mood Score (member satisfaction) to identify which members are most active or potentially at risk.
Step 3: Analyze Sales Performance Reports
These reports focus on the revenue generated through the association’s products and events:
Sales by Product: Displays a list of all products (e.g., "Test Retreat 2026") alongside their total revenue.
Sorting: Click the column headers to sort by "Greatest to Least" or "Least to Greatest."
Sales Count: See which specific products have been purchased the most frequently.
Sales by Contact Owner: Tracks performance based on the staff member or "owner" responsible for the sale (e.g., "Ryan Day - 1 Sale - $200").
Step 4: Manage Subscription Renewals
Subscription Renewal Report: Use this to see a chronological list of every member’s organization and their specific Renewal Date. This is the primary tool for forecasting upcoming membership dues.
Step 5: Track Member Milestones
Birthdays Report: A simple ledger showing member names, birth dates, and contact details (phone, email, address). This is useful for planning personalized outreach or manual birthday greetings.
Cautionary Notes
Data Accuracy: If a member appears on the "Hardbounce" or "Do Not Send" reports, they will be automatically excluded from your automated sequences until their contact information is updated or they are manually opted back in.
Product Naming: Ensure your products are named clearly in the Revenue section, as these names are exactly what will appear in your "Sales by Product" report.
Tips for Efficiency
Cleaning Your List: Use the "Hardbounce" report once a month to remove invalid emails, which improves your overall email deliverability rates.
Forecasting Revenue: Regularly check the "Subscription Renewal" report to estimate how much membership income is expected in the coming month.
Top Performers: Sort the "Member Lifetime Value" report from "Greatest to Least" to identify your "VIP" members for exclusive offers or board recruitment.
