Viewing invoice status and revenue pipeline
Last updated August 4, 2026
Objective
This guide provides a quick walkthrough on how to view invoice statuses, use quick filters, and understand the pipeline-style revenue view inside Recur.
Key Steps
Step 1: Navigate to Invoices
Go to Revenue → Invoices.
Review the filtered status boxes at the top of the page.
Each box shows both the count and total dollar amount for invoices in that status.
Step 2: Understand Invoice Status Definitions
Hover over each status box to see a description of what it means.
Not Sent: Draft created but not yet sent to the prospect.
Sent: Invoice has been sent but not yet paid.
Paid: Invoice has been paid and marked as closed.
Overdue: Payment is past its due date.
Hold: Transactions requiring approval (such as pending membership requests).
Canceled: Invoices that have been canceled.
Note that transactions in Hold status can only remain there for seven days before expiring in Stripe.
Step 3: Use Quick Filters
Click on any status box to filter invoices by that category.
Select Not Sent to view draft invoices.
Select Sent to view invoices awaiting payment.
Select Paid to view completed transactions.
Select Overdue to identify outstanding balances.
Select Canceled to review closed-lost invoices.
These filters provide a fast way to assess what is pending or overdue.
Step 4: View Revenue by Pipeline Stages
Switch to the pipeline-style revenue view for a sales-stage perspective.
Draft represents early-stage opportunities.
Proposal aligns with invoices that have been sent.
Closed Won represents paid invoices.
Closed Lost represents canceled invoices.
Click any stage to filter and review invoices within that category.
Cautionary Notes
Transactions placed on Hold will expire after seven days if not approved.
Be sure to regularly monitor Overdue invoices to maintain healthy cash flow.
Tips for Efficiency
Use the quick filter boxes at the top of the invoice page for the fastest status overview.
Hover over status labels if you need a reminder of what each stage represents.
Review the pipeline view if you prefer tracking revenue in sales-stage format.
